BREAKING: Nigeria's Public Debt Hits Record N149.3Trillion under Tinubu Government

This development means the debt increased from the N144.6 trillion recorded as of December 2024.

The news of billionaire businessman’s demise was disclosed via a social media post on Saturday by the Deputy National Treasurer of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Uba Tanko Mijinyawa.

According to multiple insider sources, the group had grown increasingly toxic, with several northern members—alongside Onochie from the South-South—allegedly pushing negative narratives against President Bola Tinubu after being overlooked for government appointments.

Justice Yarima, who presides over Court 15, was appointed in 2024 by the National Judicial Council (NJC) under the former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

The agreement was reached during a closed-door meeting held Thursday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The victim, popularly known as Keke Moruwa, was reportedly assaulted in broad daylight on Friday, despite claiming he had committed no traffic offence.

The pastor, currently detained by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), faces accusations of raping a 14-year-old girl and exploiting vulnerable women in his congregation.

The IGP’s directive was contained in a confidential police wireless message obtained by SaharaReporters on Thursday evening, amid growing nationwide outrage and media attention sparked by the emotional video of the ex-officer.

Isah was freed on Thursday and handed over to his family and lawyer.

SaharaReporters learnt that the court granted him bail on Thursday on the same conditions given at the last bail and the judge is set to sign his release warrant.

A source at the National Assembly who spoke to SaharaReporters on Wednesday expressed outrage over what they described as a blatant attempt to undermine the authority of the parliament.

Isah was arrested and detained by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) over allegations of raping the minor.

A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows a body being hastily placed into a black car.

It also alleges cyberstalking, forgery, and giving false information against lawyer Victor Ukutt and two others, Whoba Ogo and Ukachi Whoba, who are reportedly outside the country.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that the Nigerian government recently withdrew Onyeali-Ikpe’s name from an ongoing criminal case involving an alleged multi-billion-naira fraud.

A source on the case confirmed the upcoming hearings, saying most of the defendants are prepared to counter the prosecution’s narrative and expose the contradictions in the evidence presented against them.

SaharaReporters has been reliably informed by top sources close to the case that the government, through its prosecutorial agencies, is working behind the scenes to ensure the case collapses at the Federal High Court, Lagos.

Despite assurances that maintenance would last only 30 days, operations at the facility remain suspended, with no official communication from the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).

Sources within the security forces told SaharaReporters that the bandits launched a surprise assault.

The Waziri Adamawa is the second highest in authority after the paramount ruler, the Lamido of Adamawa.

Earlier on Tuesday, the DSS arraigned Isah at the Magistrate Court in Zone 6, Abuja, without informing his legal team.

Sources revealed that among the casualties was an officer, Lieutenant Isma'il Yahya.

Isah, who appeared in court wearing black clothing, had reportedly been brutalised by a rival NANS faction allegedly backed by President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.

The disgruntled officers are demanding urgent reforms and have given President Bola Tinubu administration until the end of July to address their concerns or face a crippling shutdown of police operations across the country.

A top source who spoke with SaharaReporters, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended at approximately 3:40am on Tuesday by DSS operatives stationed at the airport.

In an internal wireless message issued from the Force Secretary’s office in Abuja to all senior police commands and formations across the country which SaharaReporters obtained on Tuesday, the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, warned that lobbying for postings now constitutes a serious act of indiscipline under a new policy.

The arrest, which took place last week, has sent shockwaves through the community, as Pastor Isah was known for his charismatic sermons and claims of divine power.

The families also revealed that Craneburg issued them a form printed on plain A4 paper, without a company letterhead or proper documentation.

Lawal administration also secured an international loan amounting to N6.8 billion, listed under “International Loans/Borrowings from Capital Market.”

Declaring the government's actions void, the court ruled that the state lacked the legal power to divest or disturb the claimants' land rights without due process and adequate compensation.

Meanwhile, a combined team of security agencies is currently scouring the area in search of the victims.

The fiat, initially issued in 2022 by former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Abubakar Malami (SAN) and later reinstated by current AGF Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), was recently withdrawn again by the Director of Public Prosecutions, M.B. Abubakar.

According to a situation report from the police, exclusively obtained by SaharaReporters on Sunday, the incident occurred around 1:22 p.m. when a team comprising police and civil defence personnel was escorting Mr. Gu Xiaowu, a Chinese expatriate working with Rilix Mining Company at Isanlu.

Sources within the DSS told SaharaReporters that the directive to arrest and detain Isah came from Olusola Ladoja, who claims to be the NANS President and is backed by a faction allegedly supported by Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.

This comes just days after the Nigerian Senate raised serious questions over the company's audited financial accounts.
